A blog about the restoration, remodel and renovation of a 1929 Chicago-style brick bungalow

The Reveal

We have a big weekend coming up (more about that later) so I don’t have much time and didn’t want to wait any longer to post the (almost) final photos of the storm window paint project — even though I’m still working on that perfect shot and I still have to add a second coat of paint to the arched basement window.

First, the “before” photo:

And, without further ado, our new, improved look:

Sigh. I feel much better already. Have a great weekend!

That does look better, at least to me. Nice job.

Thanks Sharon. I think it’s a huge improvement. Now I’m thinking about the gutters or soffit…

Not gonna lie…I wasn’t sold on the ochre color, but seeing it on the house, it looks great and also ties in with the front door.

Thanks Devon! I still would have loved to do the green, but I think this was the right decision (although I’m STILL getting used to it — it’s such a huge change, but a welcome one!).
