A blog about the restoration, remodel and renovation of a 1929 Chicago-style brick bungalow

Day(bed) Dreaming

We stopped at Crate and Barrel last week to buy a hanging pot rack for the kitchen.

I knew Pete would roll his eyes if I started wandering around, so I grabbed a catalog to take home.

When I sat down to flip through it, I just about swooned when I saw this daybed. I measured the space, and it would fit perfectly under the window, kind of like this:

The color looks like it matches what I just painted in our new room upstairs too.

If it wasn’t for that pesky, serious lack-of-money thing, I’d be daydreaming on it right now.

Oh, my. That’s perfect–in style, dimensions, and color! I love how it would draw the red to that side of the room and create a balance. What a great spot to settle in with a book for the afternoon…

I looked at that daybed, too, Denise! Love it. Here’s hoping you get your wish.

It is perfect, isn’t it? Here’s hoping it looks as good in person as it does in the catalog. I’m going to check it out later this week. Maybe I’ll find a way…

OMG! It’s perfect. Not only does it fit the space the color match is amazing! I would love to snooze in that cozy little nook. Not to mention how great it would be to curl up with a blanket and a good book. Hope the reno fairy brings you the money you need to get it 🙂

    take care,
