A blog about the restoration, remodel and renovation of a 1929 Chicago-style brick bungalow

Now You See It

And in a matter of mere minutes…

…now you don’t! Buh-bye, Dumpster.

As I’m sure you can guess, this means a couple things:

  • Our project is nearing the end
  • We have some new yardwork to do

I know I have catching-up to do, but over the holiday weekend I needed a break from the computer.

We had an excellent 4th of July weekend, despite the rain earlier in the day. It cleared up in time for fireworks that night. Morton Grove always has great fireworks, but they really outdid themselves this year. Kudos to the outgoing Park District Director, Jeff Fougerousse, who I’ve known for many, many years. He will be missed, but I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Back to our little project, there are still a number of things to do here, but the dumpster was completely filled and there won’t be much more waste now that drywall is up. The contractor is going to get rid of the rest of the waste on his own.

I’m so happy that eyesore is gone!
